Explore, Dream, Discover

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do, so throw off the bowlines, sail away from safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails.  Explore, Dream, Discover." –Mark Twain

I'm back! The last time I blogged was 2013 and so much has happened since then! It would take me an eternity to catch everyone up so I'll just summarize:
I started college at MSU
College has me worrying about my future
I couldn't sleep last night
I've been looking into majors that involve writing
A thought occurred to me..
Why did I stop blogging?!

So, I decided to give this blog a makeover, a new name, a new url, new layout, everything. I miss when I was 14 years old and so determined to get that one post in every day. What happened?

I'm bringing this blog back with an inspirational quote above. I thought this was correlated to my current situation. College is supposed to be about getting involved and breaking out of your comfort zone, exploring, and discovering new things. I'm still trying to do just that. Freshman year is basically over (May 6th!) and I have the whole summer to prepare myself for the rest of my college experience! I wanted to share my adventures with others (this scares me more now than when I was 14 and started this blog). I can't wait to travel (especially up north: picture above), spend time with friends and family, read new books (!!!!!!!!!), attend exciting events, and just simply relax after such a crazy first year.

This blog used to be called Fashion Mist and was mainly a fashion blog alone. Now, it's going to be my personal and fashion blog. What to expect now: Fashion, books, movies, quotes, shows, inspiration, food, ramblings, etc.

What I truly want to say is that I don't know how I stopped writing. I went through some rough years and now I finally had time to sit down and reflect (I should be studying for exams, what am I doing right now). Anyways, writing used to make me so happy. But then it started to become a sort of chore and I think I just ran away from it out of fear. It always used to be fun and I began putting pressure on myself and that fun slowly diminished. That's why I'm ready to start over and rediscover my passion. I'm looking forward to sharing my experiences, likes, dislikes, thoughts, gaining new readers, and reconnecting with old ones.

Question: Where do you see yourself in twenty years?

Quote of the Week

I feel as if it has been a decade since I last posted on this blog. I was up north this past week when I realized that what truly made me happy, was this blog. So, why did I abandon it for so long? I have no idea.

I thought this simple quote of the week would be a decent jump start into regularly blogging again. I love this saying by Alexander McQueen! Hopefully this gives you a bit of inspiration for the week ahead.

"I think there is beauty in everything. What 'normal' people would perceive as ugly, I can usually see something of beauty in it." -Alexander McQueen

Knitwear

This fall and winter, I'm all about staying comfortable, cute, and cozy. What better way to do that than by wearing some jumpers? I actually may have gone overboard online shopping at Topshop.com. Look at that pile! But honestly, I just couldn't resist. I'm obsessed.

What's your favorite piece this season?

Topshop

Wow, I haven't been on this blog in a while. I've been so busy with school starting. Right now, it is Friday and 11:25 pm and I've decided that I've abandoned Fashion Mist for way too long. Just because I'm busy with things I don't like doesn't mean I should leave the things I love.

So, I'm back!

I wanted to share with you some really happy news. I was in Chicago with my mom over the summer and I discovered that there was a Topshop, you know that UK store. In America!! Who knew?? Probably everyone, but I'm just late. Well, that is where I spent most of my time, of course.

But, there's more. I recently found out that they have a Topshop now EVERYWHERE in the US at Nordstrom's. So, where will I be tomorrow? I think you can guess.
As you can tell, I'm quite obsessed with Topshop. I'm maybe a little overexcited, haha. If you are from the UK, you probably think I'm insane.

Anyways, I wanted to share with you just a few of my favorite buys. I'll hopefully have more to show you soon!
